Task Manager
The Periodic Task Manager has received a substantial set of improvements in this release.
Task Detail Page
Each task now has its own dedicated page where you can view and edit the title, category, severity, due date, and description, and see the full note and history timeline — instead of only being able to act on tasks from the Kanban board.
Assign Tasks to Volunteers
Tasks can now be assigned to volunteers in addition to org team members. Both options appear together in the same assignee selector on the task form and detail page.
Email Notifications
When a task is assigned, the assignee — whether an org member or a volunteer — receives an email notification immediately.
Periodic and Custom Tabs
The Task Manager board is now split into two tabs: Periodic Tasks (from the configured task library) and Custom Tasks (one-off tasks created on demand). The active tab is remembered as you filter, add tasks, and move cards between columns.
Link Tasks to Projects, Program Batches, and Events
Custom tasks can now be linked to a specific record — a Project, Program Batch, or Event. A Tasks panel appears as a tab on each of these record detail pages, showing all tasks linked to that record and letting you add new ones inline.
Tasks on Volunteer Profiles
The volunteer detail page now includes a Tasks tab showing all Task Manager instances assigned to that volunteer.
Archive Completed Tasks
Admins can now archive Done or Ignored tasks off the default board view without changing their status, keeping the board focused on active work.
Donor Merge
When duplicate donor records exist, admins can now merge them through a step-by-step wizard.
- Select the two donors to merge.
- Compare their details side by side and choose which value to keep for any field where they differ.
- Confirm and merge — all donations, documents, and related records from the duplicate are moved to the surviving record, and a full audit log of the merge is kept.
Smarter Receipt and Donation Controls
Receipt Soft-Delete
Receipts can now be deleted with a reason, rather than being permanently removed. Deleted receipts remain visible in a muted state for audit purposes but are excluded from totals and cannot be edited or re-sent. Receipts that have already been issued or sent require a reason before deletion is allowed.
Donation Edit and Delete Rules
Donation editing is now gated on whether the donation amount still exceeds the total of any issued or sent receipts — you cannot reduce a donation below what has already been receipted. Deletion of a donation is blocked if any receipt (including soft-deleted ones) references it.
Add Receipt from the Donation Page
A new Add Receipt button appears on the donation detail page whenever there is remaining receiptable room on a donation, pre-filling the donation on the create form.
Volunteer Self-Service Portal
Volunteers can now access a dedicated portal to manage their own involvement — no in-app account needed.
- Volunteers receive a secure link by email and sign in with a one-time password.
- From the portal they can view and update their own profile details (everything except their email address and volunteer ID), and upload or change their profile photo.
- Tasks assigned to them are shown in Active and Done tabs — volunteers can mark tasks complete and add notes directly from the portal.
Fixes
Registrations link missing from the Event detail page
A recent change accidentally removed the Registrations link from the event detail page. Registrations are now accessible via an action icon on the Events list, consistent with other per-event actions.
Volunteer Profile Photos
Admins can now add a profile photo to any volunteer record, with a built-in crop and zoom tool to frame it correctly before saving.
Disbursement Over-Funding — Warning Instead of Block
Previously, saving a disbursement that exceeded a project's available funding was hard-blocked with an error. This is now a confirmation prompt instead — you can review the warning and choose to save anyway or cancel, giving you more flexibility in cases where the overage is intentional.
