Release Notes 2.3

05 Aug 2026 Sudeep Dsouza 1 min read

V2.3 introduces the NGO Periodic Task Manager — a compliance dashboard that tracks recurring to-dos like FCRA filings automatically, with AI certificate extraction, auto-completion, and a full audit trail. Also included: a new visibility control for documents on your public website.

NGO Periodic Task Manager

A new Tasks dashboard helps NGOs keep on top of recurring compliance work — filings, renewals, and other tasks that come up on a schedule — instead of tracking them manually.

  • Tasks are drawn from an admin-configured library and generated for your organisation automatically, aligned to the Indian financial year.
  • Each task instance has a clear status — Pending, Postponed, Done, or Ignored — and a running, timestamped timeline of notes so context is never lost.
  • Every status change is recorded in a full audit trail.
  • Where possible, tasks complete themselves automatically based on your organisation's data (see FCRA automation below).
  • You can opt out of specific tasks with a reason, and opt back in at any time.

FCRA Compliance, Automated

  • AI certificate extraction — upload your FCRA certificate and the platform reads it automatically, extracting the key details for you to review and confirm before anything is saved.
  • Auto-suppression for organisations without foreign funding — a new "Do you receive funds from abroad?" question on the Organisation form. Answering No automatically marks the three FCRA-related tasks (Registration, Annual Filing FC-4, Financial Statement Preparation) as not applicable. Changing your answer back to Yes reinstates them.
  • Auto-completion on renewal — setting your FCRA certificate's expiry date automatically marks the FCRA Registration task as done.

Task Management Improvements

  • Postponed tasks can now be marked Done or Ignored directly, the same as Pending ones.
  • Adding a one-off task now lets you type any title you like, instead of choosing from a dropdown (which was previously always empty).

Document Visibility on Your Website

Org members can now control which uploaded documents appear in the document gallery on their public subsite, using a new visibility toggle on the organisation's document page.
