Release Notes 2.2

29 Jun 2026 Sudeep Dsouza 2 min read

V2.2 introduces a full sponsorship feature for events — letting sponsors register their own attendees through a dedicated portal — along with receipt email delivery for event payments and a couple of receipt-handling fixes.

Event Sponsorship Portal

Events can now have sponsors who register their own attendees, separately from your regular ticket sales.

  • Organisers can add a sponsor to an event from a new Sponsors tab on the event detail page, specifying an allowed email domain and a ticket allocation.
  • The sponsor receives an onboarding email and logs into a dedicated sponsor portal using a one-time password sent to their email — no separate account or password required.
  • From their portal, the sponsor can register attendees against their allocation through a simple wizard. Once the allocation is used up, registration is automatically closed.
  • Sponsor-registered attendees use a dedicated ticket type that doesn't appear in the regular ticket selection shown to the public.
  • Registration fields can be marked as sponsor-only, so certain questions are shown only on the sponsor registration form and not to regular attendees — and vice versa, fields tied to a specific ticket type are correctly shown or hidden depending on whether a sponsor or regular ticket is selected.

Sponsor Tickets Are Clearly Marked

Wherever sponsor-registered attendees appear, they're clearly identified:

  • The event's order/registration list and CSV export include a Sponsor column.
  • Registration list and detail views show a sponsor badge on sponsor tickets.
  • The ticket PDF displays a "Courtesy of [Sponsor]" line for sponsor-registered attendees.

Receipt Email Now Sent for Event Payments

Donors who pay for an event now automatically receive a receipt email on successful payment, the same as they already do for standalone and programme donations.

Fix Receipts Missing a Shareable Link

A small number of older receipts — issued before automatic link generation was introduced, or where it failed at the time — were missing their shareable print link entirely, showing as a broken "None" value with no way to fix it from the UI. A Generate Link button now appears on any receipt missing its link, letting you create one on demand.

Cleaner Receipt PDF Layout

The receipt PDF has been tightened up — reduced spacing and removed decorative borders around the organisation/donor details, tax row, and signature line — for a cleaner, more compact look.
